This 2 mile lake shore walkway is located on the South side of Lake Como, in Lake Geneva. It's also known as Warbler Walkway because most of the state's warblers have been seen there. You'll pass through brushes, woods and pastures. Until the 1970's, this was the site of the tracks for a commuter train that operated between Lake Geneva and Lake County, IL but it was so slow that some argued it was quicker to ride a bike! Eventually the tracks were removed. You can still signs of the track in downtown Lake Geneva. The west end of the trail can be located as you go west on Highway 50 form Lake Geneva, turn right on Schofield Rd., go north to Lake Como. The trail starts behind a tan colored metal garage at the east end of South Shore Rd. OR go west on Highway 50 from Lake Geneva, turn right on Forest St. Turn left briefly on McDonald Rd. then right on Marshall Ln. Go north, turn left on Grandview. Take first right, still on Grandview, follow down to trail.
